RELEEESE at Go Mental!

Where Wellness, Conversion and Indulgence Came Together

A day of inspiring conversations, leading voices in health and wellbeing, and a little bit of indulgence, powered by Releeese.

This month, Releeese was proud to be the Headline Sponsor of Go Mental, an inspiring day dedicated to mental health, nutrition, wellbeing and creating a more balanced approach to living.

Held at London’s iconic Science Museum, the event brought together more than 400 attendees for a day of thought-provoking talks, honest conversations and practical insights from some of the most recognisable voices across health, wellness and personal development.

And, of course, there was plenty of Releeese indulgence along the way.

Starting the day with an open conversation

The event opened with an engaging panel featuring Ben West, Dr Alex Partridge, Dr Gemma Newman and Dr Lalitaa Suglani.

The conversation created a welcoming and open tone for the day, exploring different perspectives around mental health, wellbeing and the ways we can better look after ourselves.

It was a fitting way to begin Go Mental: bringing people together, encouraging conversations and creating a space where health and wellbeing could be approached without judgement.

Inspiring voices throughout the day

The programme continued with an impressive line-up of speakers, including Paul C Brunson, whose seminar was every bit as charismatic, energetic and engaging as you would expect.

Paul brought his trademark personality to the stage, delivering an entertaining and thought-provoking session that had the audience fully engaged.

We were also delighted to hear from Dr Emily Prpa, who delivered a fascinating seminar exploring the connection between gut health and overall wellbeing. Her talk was a great reminder of just how interconnected our health can be, and why looking at wellbeing holistically matters.

Together, the speakers brought different perspectives to the day, but with a common thread: finding better ways to understand ourselves, our health and the choices we make every day.

Ali Ghaidan on stage: the story behind Releeese

One of the highlights of the day was a talk by Ali Ghaidan, Co-Founder of Releeese.

Ali opened by speaking to something everyone in the room understood: the joy of indulging in food you love, and why that enjoyment should never have to come with a side of guilt. It was an immediate connection with the audience.

From there, he told the story of how Releeese came to exist. A health scare. A nutritionist. And an introduction to Dr Johannes Coy, a molecular biologist whose decades of research into how the body uses sugar changed the way Ali thought about food entirely. The conviction was immediate. A better approach to sweetness was not just possible, it was necessary.

That conviction became Releeese. A brand built on the idea that you should never have to choose between something that tastes extraordinary and something made with better ingredients.

He closed with the words that sit at the heart of everything Releeese does.

Same taste. Different science. No compromise.

We call it Intelligent Indulgence.

The chocolate that started it all

After the talk, 400 attendees had the chance to taste the product that began the Releeese story: the world’s first milk chocolate and 70% dark chocolate made with rare sugars derived from natural sources.

The dark surprised people. Not what they expected at all, sophisticated and smooth, with none of the harshness they were bracing for. The milk was an instant hit. Rich, creamy and impossible to have just once.

Dr Lalitaa Suglani tried the dark chocolate and was clearly delighted by it. Dr Emily Prpa was particularly taken with the milk chocolate. Paul C Brunson also came to the stand and tried the chocolate himself. The reactions throughout the day said everything.

A spin the wheel gave visitors the chance to win taster boxes, discovery boxes, Dr Coy’s Intelligent Sugar book and exclusive discounts, and kept the stand buzzing throughout the day.

Releeese meets gelato

For Releeese, the event was also the occasion for something particularly exciting: the debut of Releeese Gelato.

Created in partnership with Italian gelato expert Chef Fabiano Franzoso of Cremoloso, the gelato is made using Releeese sugars including trehalose and tagatose, together with resistant dextrin, a plant fibre that passes through to the large intestine rather than being digested as sugar. This has never been done in an ice cream before.

Four flavours were introduced on the day:

Chocolate: rich, indulgent and unmistakably chocolatey.

Pistachio: creamy, nutty and packed with pistachio flavour.

Salted Peanut Butter: a delicious combination of sweet, salty and seriously moreish.

Strawberry: fresh, fruity and perfect for a lighter take on a classic gelato flavour.

The response was fantastic. Attendees were able to taste all four flavours for themselves, and the gelato quickly became one of the highlights of the Releeese experience at Go Mental.

Finding balance with Releeese

Throughout the day, the Releeese team were on hand to introduce attendees to our approach to indulgence and explain the rare sugars behind Releeese Chocolate and our gelato.

For us, balance does not mean taking the enjoyment out of food. It is about asking a different question: can we enjoy indulgence and be more intelligent about our choices?

Go Mental felt like the perfect place to share that message. Because wellbeing is not about being perfect. It is about finding a way of living that feels sustainable, enjoyable and, importantly, yours.

A huge thank you to Rosie Millen

Behind the whole event was Rosie Millen, nutritional coach, founder and the face behind Go Mental.

Rosie’s vision for Go Mental is what made the event so special. Bringing together such a diverse group of experts, speakers, brands and attendees created a genuinely positive environment where people could learn, connect and enjoy themselves.

We are incredibly grateful to Rosie and the whole Go Mental team for inviting Releeese to be part of such a brilliant day.

With more than 400 people attending, an incredible speaker line-up, fascinating conversations and plenty of Releeese chocolate and gelato enjoyed along the way, Go Mental was a huge success.

For the Releeese team, it was also a fantastic opportunity to meet people face-to-face, hear their thoughts and introduce them to what we are building.

Because balance should not mean giving up the things you love. Sometimes, it is simply about finding a better way to enjoy them.

Thank you, Go Mental. We will see you next time.
